With LotusLive you have the same issue.
Since IBM and Google are both US companies they both have to obey the Patriot Act.

This means that using a cloud solution from US companies you could just publish your data at the US Government.

On the other hand, you can select another cloudserviceprovider with whom you can make better deals regarding security.
